Legislation, homologation, TPaZ and PaZ
The Legislation Section provides the relevant documentation for rail vehicles in the Czech Republic, which proves that the vehicle is fit and, above all, safe for operation. This capability and safety can apply to individual components, several devices on the vehicle at the same time, or the entire vehicle. This documentation is partly created directly by the legislation section, and partly this documentation is provided by other sections of ČMŽO – electronics or by requesting the relevant institutions that have accreditation for the given activity.
The documentation created by the Legislative Department includes applications, roadworthiness and test reports, safety protocols, audit reports and many others.
An equally important activity of the legislative section is almost daily communication with authorities and railway or transport institutions. From there, the legislation section is able to provide all the tests and documents needed for a national or other European approval authority.
We are authorized to carry out technical inspections and tests (TPaZ) of specified technical equipment in the following scope:
- Electrical equipment for railway vehicles
- The mobile part of train protection equipment, the electrical circuits of which perform the function of direct ensuring of railway transport safety
- Legislation related to vehicle roadworthiness
- Pressure Designated Technical Equipment (UTZ)
